About Me

I have always been fasincated with animals and especially loved the company of dogs.

In 2016 I fostered a dog who had been through an unimaginable amount of trauma. As I got to know her I was overwhelmed with how much trust she still had to give and how resilient and dignified she was.

Over the 3 years that I was lucky enough to have her in my life she never failed to teach me something about adaptability, emotional resilience and most importantly not allowing your past experience to define who you are.

It was while I was learning from her that my curiosity turned into real motivation to learn and understand dog behaviour so I started studying with the Modern Institure of Dog Trainers for my first qualification. This was the beginning of my journey to becoming a dog behaviourist and turning my passion into a profession.

Since 2018 I have constantly studied, formally and informally to improve my knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and how I can support them to live their best life.

My biggest oppertunity for learning came while I worked at a dog shelter in Spain for 2 years.

I had to quickly unlearn some of the education that I had gained from books and learn from

the best teachers I have ever had........

...........the dogs themselves

Over the years, I have worked 1-1 with many dogs and their humans to achieve behaviour change, specialising in reactivity and rescue dogs.

I have taught many families the skills they need to train their dog to offer traditional life skills such as stay, wait, focus, recall etc.

In addittion, I have hosted  a range of  training courses for puppies, adolescent and adult dogs,

specialist skills workshops and social skills play groups.

Most Meaningful Qualification

2 years working in a dog shelter supporting dogs with a wide range of experiences and complex emotional and physical needs.

These 2 years were a constant learning experience and gave me a deeper insight into behaviour and how to recognise and support a dog's emotional needs.

Learning from these amazing dogs, all with their own stories, was more of an education than any formal qualification.
